A full design was carried out for a new 350 metre long tunnel to provide an automated transfer link between the production and dispatch buildings. The tunnel sits approximately 6 metres above the lorry parking area so it was imperative that as much care was taken with the external lighting design as it is was with the internal lighting designs.
It was HE&D’s remit to provide all of the designs for the electrical services required within the tunnel along with the cable calculations for all of the incoming power supplies to the panels within the tunnel feeding the small power services and the power supplies for the conveyor system.
A 350 metre long tunnel required full installation of electronics, safety & lighting for auto runway to transport goods from 1 primary building to another.
